Acupuncture treatment involves the use of very fine hair-like pre-sterilized, disposable needles. After diagnosing an individual's situation, needles are placed on the energetic pathways to stimulate restoration of the smooth,harmonious flow of "qi". When used to treat both symptoms and the underlying condition, acupuncture can be a powerful medicinal form. Depending on the needs of an individual other variations of acupuncture may be utilized. An example of these variations may include "cupping", a therapy where suction is created in a cup which is then applied to the body, which then draws the skin up around the cup and into the cup, This technique helps unblock stagnant energy and brings fresh blood up to the area and improves circulation.
